111 Minna Gallery has always been the place. The place to grab an artisanal coffee from their full-service espresso bar. The place to meet a friend for handcrafted cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The place to find inspiration and explore your artistic tastes.
And although the art gallery is temporarily shuttered, 111 Minna has found a creative way to remain the place to gather. From August 6 to 8, they will be hosting a free, three-day live stream variety show with several friends from around the neighborhood.
Steen Bojsen-Møller will be teaching a masterclass on the art of mixology. He’s the former general manager of 111 Minna Gallery and current owner of two Palm Springs bars – Seymour’s and Toucans Tiki Lounge. Steen will show you how to stir, shake or mix a cocktail like a true professional.
dexterflawk, an Oakland native and former Project Runway contestant, will be hosting a virtual fashion show featuring eight designers. As a highly sought-after stylist and designer, he divides his time between Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
Last Gasp, one of the world’s oldest publishers and purveyors of underground books and punk literature, will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with a virtual show on August 6.
THE RETURN, a group show curated by Wonderlandsf, will virtually open on August 7 during 111 Minna’s live stream. This show exclusively features artwork from San Francisco artists who will directly benefit from purchases.
111 Minna Gallery’s President and Owner Michelle Delaney will guide viewers through a rock ‘n’ roll yoga session designed to release built-up stress and tension.
Plus there will be many other vibrant acts including a crazy fast sketching demonstration, an animation workshop, live musical performances, cooking classes, and more.
